My approach to health and happiness is through movement and the breath.
As a movement educator and specialist, my mission is to teach exercises and breathing patterns that will make you feel stronger, more flexible, centered, grounded, and alive — physically and mentally. I do this by drawing on my formal training in yoga, Pilates, somatic movement, dance, Qigong, and meditation.
Regardless of your age or fitness level, I will provide you with the tools and specialized classes that will help you build strength and become more flexible; improve your balance, coordination, and posture via proper alignment; prevent injuries; and reduce stress and tension.
I offer one-on-one private training, group classes, workshops, and corporate programs both online and in person. I can also create a home practice for you, or an “at-work” program, that specifically addresses your goals or those of your company.
For over twenty-five years I have been designing fitness and wellness programs for individuals and companies throughout the United States, including Fortune 500 corporations, professional athletes and golfers, dancers, equestrians, and for those who just want to feel better in their bodies.
Also, after working for many years with physical therapists and active adults, I have experience designing safe, effective, and functional exercise programs for those who are rehabilitating from injury or illness.
My goal is to make my exercises and movement concepts clear, simple, easy, and accessible to all. And I love teaching my students and clients to live and move with more control, ease, grace, and freedom! —V Kimbell Shelton
